Who the studio is
CCM Design is a remote design studio headquartered in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada. The practice sits between a communications agency and a technical shop: the work is knowledge products for research institutions, think tanks, foundations, and technology companies. That means long-form publications, institutional websites, design systems, and the interfaces around data and policy, not campaign advertising or print fulfillment. Clients with published work on this site include the Bertelsmann Foundation, The GovLab, Harvard, the International Development Research Centre, Meta, and UNICEF.
The team is distributed across time zones, with leadership in British Columbia. Projects run with the designers and developers doing the work as the main contact. That structure is deliberate. Research and policy projects lose detail when an account manager is the only person the client can reach.
How an engagement works
Two commercial shapes cover most of the work. A design subscription is a monthly design capacity for teams whose needs spike with grants and launches and never quite justify a full-time hire. A project engagement is a scoped effort with a deadline: a website, a flagship report, a rebrand, or a design system. Both start from the content and the audience, then move into components and visual design. The studio does not sell retainers for undifferentiated marketing production.
To judge fit, read the work archive, the services list, and the contact page. Project inquiries go to hello@ccmdesign.ca. The studio does not publish a telephone number. The public contact point is email and the form at https://ccmdesign.ca/contact.
